Diet for Menstruating Women:
Healthy food habit and exercise and meditation also help in solving menstrual problems. Include green leafy vegetables, fruits, like papaya, pineapple and banana, cereals and grams in your diet. Iron-rich food is also important for women suffering from anaemia.
Exercise, mild walks and jogging is also good.
Ginger:
Ginger is very useful in treating menstruation-related problems like severe pain and little or no flow during the menstruation period. Take 2-3 small pieces of ginger and gently boil in a pan of water, boil until the water reduces by half of its original amount. Add little honey if you find it difficult to drink due to its strong taste. Drink this syrup at least 3-4 times daily. This is one of the best remedies for treating menstrual problems.
Papaya, Pineapple and banana:
Fruits like papaya, pineapple and banana are quite helpful for the treatment of menstrual problems. Women (especially young females) suffering from poor flow of blood during their menstrual period or those who experience severe pain during this period should eat raw papaya. Papaya helps in proper functioning of the muscles of the uterus, which enable the proper flow of blood.
Pineapple:
Pineapple is renowned as a traditional remedy for treating the symptoms of menstruation. The individual can start to eat this fruit as soon as they feel their period is about to begin.
Marigold:
Another herb which is very effective for the menstruation-related problems is marigold. Women suffering from severe pain during this period should take marigold tea at least twice daily. Mercy Oil dosage may be taken with this herbal tea.
